우리는 성경 66권의 교회입니다   |   A Church of All 66 Books

서번트교회는 성경 66권 전체를 깊이 배우고, 배운 말씀을 삶의 자리에서 살아내는 교회가 되기를 소망합니다. 한두 구절을 인용하는 교회가 아니라, 창세기에서 요한계시록까지 하나님의 한 이야기를 통째로 듣고 그 이야기 안에서 우리의 자리를 발견하는 교회입니다. 서번트성경학교(SBS)는 그 여정을 함께 걷기 위해 마련된 배움의 자리입니다.

Servant Church longs to become a congregation that studies all sixty-six books of Scripture deeply and lives them out in the ordinary places of daily life. Not a church that quotes a verse here and there, but one that hears the whole story of God from Genesis to Revelation and finds its own place within that story. Servant Bible School exists so that we can walk that road together.

우리가 이미 걸어온 길   |   The Road We Have Already Walked

우리는 지난 시간 「선교적으로 모세오경 읽기」를 통해 창세기부터 신명기까지를 함께 읽었습니다. 그 과정에서 우리는 성경이 단지 고대의 기록이 아니라, 열방을 향한 하나님의 선교(Missio Dei)가 처음부터 흐르고 있는 책임을 확인했습니다. 아브라함을 부르신 목적이 "모든 민족의 복"이었다면, 그 부르심은 오늘 뉴저지에 선 우리에게도 동일하게 유효합니다.

Through Reading the Pentateuch Missionally we journeyed together from Genesis to Deuteronomy. Along the way we saw that Scripture is not merely an ancient record but a book in which the mission of God toward the nations runs from the very first page. If Abraham was called so that all peoples would be blessed, that same calling holds for us, here in New Jersey, today.

이제 역사서로 들어갑니다   |   Now We Enter the Historical Books

이번 학기에는 여호수아, 사사기, 룻기, 사무엘상·하를 읽습니다. 땅에 들어간 하나님의 백성이 어떻게 살았고, 어디서 실패했으며, 하나님은 그 실패 가운데서도 어떻게 여러분과 약속을 이어가셨는지를 봅니다. 역사서는 승리의 기록인 동시에 정직한 실패의 기록이며, 바로 그 점에서 우리 공동체의 이야기이기도 합니다.

This term we read Joshua, Judges, Ruth, and 1–2 Samuel. We will watch how God’s people lived once they entered the land, where they failed, and how God carried His promise forward even through their failure. The Historical Books are a record of victory and an honest record of collapse at once, and for that very reason they are also our own community’s story.

우리가 되어갈 교회   |   The Church We Are Becoming

우리의 방향은 분명합니다. 성경 중심, 선교 중심입니다. 말씀을 깊이 배우는 일이 교회 안에만 머무는 지식이 되지 않고, 이웃과 도시와 열방을 향해 나아가는 삶으로 이어지기를 원합니다. 역사서 읽기 I 은 그 긴 여정의 한 걸음이며, 우리는 앞으로도 성경 전체를 계속 읽어갈 것입니다.

Our direction is clear: Scripture at the center, mission at the center. We want deep study of the Word never to remain as knowledge kept inside the church, but to become a life that moves outward toward our neighbors, our city, and the nations. Reading the Historical Books I is one step on that long road, and we will keep reading the whole of Scripture in the years ahead.
